the
wrap up!
Have you completed steps
1 - 6? If not, you can't do the wrap up! Go back
and complete the sections you didn't finish before beginning the final step!
- Go through each section
and for each, write a one paragraph summary of the information there.
- For sections 3 - 6, create
two goals that really compel and excite you when you think about them from
the material you wrote. Compare this list to step #2 Need list. Do the goals
you set meet those needs?
- On a separate paper for
steps 3 - 6, write one goal at the top of each pager. (I like to do this in
a goal journal that I can refer back to later.
- Give yourself two minutes
for each goal. For each, write a paragraph on why you want to achieve this
goal.
- For each goal, write
what need or needs acheiving this goal will help you meet.
- Write a compelling
argument to yourself on why you must do this. If you can't write a compelling
argument that makes you ache to achieve the goal, you may need to choose
a different goal. If you can't convince yourself in an argument, you won't
have the drive to complete the goal!
- For each goal, write out
three TINY steps you can take now that will help you accomplish the goals.
Usually, these will start with what I call the "discovery" stage.
In other words, make a phone call, pick up information or a book to learn
more about the subject, sign up for a class, choose a color, get an application.
Don't be grandiose! Make it one small, easy to do, thing! Each time you cross
off something off that to-do list, replace it with another step on your goal
sheet list. This will help you keep momentum, as well as your confidence.
You may find that what you thought you wanted is not what you want at all.
That is progress. In that case, cross the goal off your list and return to
the page for that step and choose a new goal, and create three TINY steps
towards that goal.
Congratulations! You did it!

never too late to be what you might have been" -- George Elliott
Do you know how old you will
be when you complete your goals? The same age you will be if you don't! Get
